Participant Number–The first digit indicates the type of participant:
1000=Plaintiff, 2000=Defendant, 3=Minor, 4=Other
–The last three digits indicate which participant:
1003 means the 3rd plaintiff, 1013 means the 13th plaintiff,
2002 means the 2nd defendant
Search Name–This column represents the participant’s name, last name first, last name first, middle initial
A “B” in this column signifies there is a balance , and an “S” signifies support order on the case
Case Status (CS)–This column signifies what status the case is in:
CL=Closed, O=open, etc., these abbreviations can vary by county
County(CO)– This column identifies the county the case is located:
DK=DeKalb KN=Kendall MA=Madison SA=Sangamon
CH=Champaign LA = LaSalle
Case Number–This column contains the case number. The format is 2-digit year, case
type, and number: 04TR123456
Reference/ Case Type –For civil cases( D, SC, etc) this column will contain the name of the opposing party. For traffic (TR) and criminal (CF,CM), this column will contain the count number, date of birth, and charge information.
